During construction, execution, delivery, or use of the financial settlement of your new vessel, not everything goes as planned.
Adequate preparation, appropriate agreements and discussions between the parties are an important and essential part but are not a guarantee no problems will arise.
By involving Dutch Marine Inspection to the project in an early stage, many problems can be prevented.
If there are problems already, Dutch Marine Inspection may help with a dispute resolution (mediation) or perform an expert investigation for you, before taking legal solutions.
This investigation can also be usefull for possible legal proceedings in the future, which may be very plausible.
At every stage Dutch Marine Inspection will use EN 45011 as a guideline for the position which is being taken.
Dutch Marine Inspection will not act as project supervisor and will conduct as an independent expert.
For matters which are not covered in the directive, minimum margins should be determined in advance, so appropriate work can be checked.
