The following serves as instruction for the DMI mark holder.

Regulation for the use of the certificate

1 Definitions:
1.1 Certificate: In this regulation means certificate, a certificate of conformity or a report of conformity, issued by DMI.

1.2 Certificate holder : The company or private individual who has obtained the right to use the certificate (including the statement of  DMI that the product complies with the minimum requirements).

1.3 DMI Nobo registration number:  A European registration number, allotted by the Dutch Government to DMI. (In this respect is DMI the Notified Body under number 2248).

2 Validity of  the certificate

2.1 A certificate is only valid in its original creation and  under the rules and conditions specified on that particular certificate.

2.2 DMI has supplied a certificate to the certificate holder for an inspected and approved product. DMI remains authorized to monitor the agreement at any moment and by all legally available means.

3 Incorrect use or abuse of the DMI certificate

 3.1 It is not allowed to use  the  certificate, for not approved products by DMI nor for products with another certificate issued by DMI or any other Body.

3.2 Any addition or correction on the certificate, makes the certificate  invalid.

3.3 In case of  incorrect use or abuse of the certificate, DMI will have the right to take any action by all legally possible  means.

4 Complaints about the certificate or the certified product.

4.1 The certificate holder has the obligation to inform DMI within 4 working days in case of any complaints about  the certificate or the certified product.

4.2 The certificate holder has also the obligation to take appropriate action in case of complaints, concerning the certificate or the product, will  reach the certificate holder .

5 Ownership of DMI certificate

5.1 The DMI certificate will always remain property of DMI. In case of  plausible reasons DMI will have the right to withdraw the certificate.

6 Declaration of conformity

6.1 Every delivered vessel or product must be provided with a signed declaration of conformity.
6.2 A copy of this signed declaration of conformity shall be sent or mailed to the certification office of DMI. JLIB_HTML_CLOAKING
6.3 When the product has no serial number but only a batch number the declaration of conformity belonging to that batch will satisfy.

7 DMI Nobo registration number

7.1 The DMI Nobo registration number is allowed to be applied only  in that particular cases listed in the Recreational Craft Directive or other guidelines with respect to that.

7.2 Incorrect or improper use of the DMI Nobo registration number, whether or not in conjunction with the CE mark, is not allowed.
