Correct use and controle of use of DMI certificate
The following serves as instructions for the certificate holder.

Validity of the certificate
The certificate holder, has received a certificate from DMI for an approved and certified product. DMI is autorized to monitor compliance at all times with all possibly legaly alllowed tools.        
        
A certificate is only valid in its original form and to the conditions of validity, as on the certificate. Any amendment to the certificate, makes it invalid. The certificate should not be used for a different product indicated on the certificate.        
        
Duplicates of the certificate        
A copy of the certificate is not regarded as evidence that an original certificate was issued. Valid duplicates can only be provided by DMI against payment and will be marked and signed as such.        
Multiple original copies of a certificate may be obtainable against payment in the languages Dutch, English and German.        
        
Improper use or abuse of the DMI certificate
The DMI certificate may not be used in a manner that could suggest that it covers products that are not approved by DMI.
When someone finds out that a certificate is not properly used or abused, he/she is obligated to inform DMI immediately.
When the DMI certificate is not properly used or abused, DMI may proceed with its available (legal) measures.

Ownership of the DMI certificate
The DMI certificate, always remains the property of DMI and can be revoked by DMI at all times.

Dutch Marine Inspection makes an active control on issued certificates
DMI monitors on the following way:

• Control on exhibitions;
• Magazines, newspapers;
• Internet control;
• Regular visit or sales visit.

When the DMI certificate is not properly used or abused, DMI may proceed with its available (legal) measures.
